Wild Days Out – Stream Snorkel Safari! (5-8’s)
Thursday 31st August
A Wild Days Out activity day for 5-8 year olds
NOT the usual “river dip”! We can’t snorkel all day so there will be a bit of fishing and other river play, but we thought we’d try something a little bit different and adventurous! We haven’t got a picture of anyone SNORKELLING in the river because it’s never been done before – JOIN US IF YOU DARE!
In addition to the usual spare clothes, lunches etc. etc. participants will need water shoes/crocs/wet suit boots that they can swim in, swimming trunks/costumes and either a rashguard/swimvest or snug fitting t-shirt they can wear as a layer in the river. If they have them they are more than welcome to bring a wetsuit, but we anticipate that most people, including staff, will not have them! We will be providing masks and snorkels and we have a small number of “shark fin swim aids” that we can lend to non-confident swimmers.
PLEASE ADVISE IN THE “Does your child have any illnesses, disabilities or allergies that may affect him/her when taking part in group activities?” SECTION OF THE CONSENT FORM WHAT THE SWIMMING ABILITY/WATER CONFIDENCE OF YOUR CHILD IS. Thank you!
